YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

A straightforward explanation of what we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it.

1. Who is responsible?

BAD Management is a publication operated by Montreve Ltd, the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

Privacy contact: enquiries@montreve.com.

2. What we collect

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address, the date and time of subscription, the page where you subscribed, your consent status and information necessary to record subscriptions and withdrawal requests. We do not ask subscribers for their names or employers.

Infrastructure providers may process limited technical information, including IP addresses and device/browser details, to serve and protect the website.

3. How and why we use it

We use the email address you provide to send BAD Management newsletters and publication updates, relying on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR. We maintain limited records to administer the mailing list, honour withdrawn consent and demonstrate compliance. Necessary technical processing and proportionate security record-keeping may rely on our legitimate interests, subject to your rights.

We do not sell newsletter subscriber information or permit third parties to use it for their own marketing.

4. Service providers and transfers

Subscriptions are handled through Google Apps Script and recorded in a Google Sheet. The website is hosted through Amazon Web Services (AWS). Cloudflare provides DNS and related infrastructure. These providers may process personal information to deliver their services. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we assess applicable safeguards, adequacy arrangements or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

5. How long we keep it

Active subscription records are retained while you remain subscribed, subject to periodic review. Following withdrawal, we stop newsletter sending and retain only proportionate information needed to honour your preferences and meet applicable obligations. We review retention periods and delete information that is no longer needed.

6. Your choices and rights

You can withdraw your consent to receive the BAD Management newsletter at any time. To do this, email enquiries@montreve.com from your subscribed email address and ask to unsubscribe. We will stop using your address for newsletter distribution promptly. You do not need to explain why.

When newsletter emails begin, each email will include an unsubscribe link. Until then, email enquiries@montreve.com to withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out on the basis of consent before withdrawal.

You may also request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or exercise rights of restriction, objection and portability where applicable. Email enquiries@montreve.com to exercise those rights.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

7. Browser storage, cookies and analytics

We use local browser storage to remember your light or dark display preference and, where available, your analytics-cookie choice. These preferences support your use of the website; they are not used to build advertising profiles.

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google, to understand how people reach BAD Management, which pages they visit and how they engage with our articles. Google Analytics may use cookies and process online identifiers, usage information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and browser/device information. Google may process data outside the UK, subject to the safeguards applicable to its services.

Analytics are optional and turned off by default. We do not load Google's analytics tag unless you select “Accept analytics”. You can reject analytics and still use the entire website. You can also change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings control in the footer. If you withdraw consent, we stop future analytics collection and attempt to delete our site's Google Analytics cookies. Historical aggregated reports may remain.

We do not use Google Analytics for advertising personalisation on this website. Further information is available in Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Updates

We may revise this notice as the website develops. The current version and date will always appear here. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required.
